Booking Procedures

Thank you for your interest in choosing Captain Sebastian Wys for your next adventure on the water. To ensure a smooth, safe, and professional experience out on the water, please review our booking, payment, and cancellation policies below.

By securing your booking, you agree to these terms.

Deposit & Payment Terms

To guarantee your requested date and time on my calendar, the following payment schedule applies based on when you book your trip:

  • Standard Bookings (More than 7 Days Out): A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The remaining 50% balance must be paid in full precisely on the 7th day prior to your scheduled departure.

  • Short-Notice Bookings (Within 7 Days of Trip): If your trip is booked within 7 days of your desired outing date, 100% full payment is required immediately at the time of booking.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept secure digital payments via Venmo or Zelle.

  • Gratuity:  A customary 15-20% crew gratuity for excellent service is highly appreciated and can be paid via Venmo, Zelle, or cash at the end of the trip.

 Client Cancellation Policy

Because we reserve prime calendar slots specifically for your party and turn down other charter requests, client cancellations are subject to the following rules:

  • More than 14 days before departure: Cancellations made with more than 14 days' notice will receive a 100% full refund of the deposit.

  • Between 8 and 14 days before departure: If you cancel within this window, the 50% deposit becomes completely non-refundable. Any extra amounts paid beyond the deposit will be fully refunded, or you may roll your deposit over to a rescheduled date within the week or following week.

  • Within 7 days of departure: Because short-notice cancellations make it nearly impossible to rebook the date, trips canceled within 7 days of the scheduled departure are 100% non-refundable.

Weather & Safety Policy

South Florida weather can change rapidly. Your safety is my absolute highest priority.

  • Captain’s Authority: The Captain has the sole and final authority to cancel, delay, or shorten a trip due to unsafe maritime conditions.

  • Unsafe Conditions Include: Small craft advisories, lightning storms within the immediate area, sustained high winds, or heavy tropical downpours.

  • Excluded Conditions: Trips will not be canceled for light rain, overcast skies, or hot temperatures.

  • Weather Cancellations: If the Captain cancels the trip prior to departure due to weather or safety concerns, you will be offered:

    1. A 100% full refund (including your deposit), OR

    2. The option to reschedule for a mutually agreeable future date.

  • Mid-Trip Weather: If a trip is cut short due to sudden, severe weather, a pro-rated credit or partial refund will be calculated based on the time remaining on the charter.

  Captain Cancellations

  • In the extremely rare event that I must cancel a trip due to  a personal  emergency, you will receive a 100% full refund.

  • I will also do my absolute best to help you secure a trusted, fully licensed substitute South Florida captain so your day on the water isn't lost.
